Common questions
+There's a PlateSpec charge on my card and I don't recognize it
PlateSpec is restaurant training software, billed to the person who signed the restaurant group up. It bills once a month, per location. If you don't recognize it, email hello@platespec.com with the last four digits of the card and the amount — we'll find it and refund it the same day if it isn't yours. Please write to us before disputing; it's faster and we'd rather fix it than fight it.
+My crew member never got their login code
Codes expire after 10 minutes, and only the newest one works — if they asked more than once, older codes stop working. Check the spam folder, confirm the email address on their roster entry is right, then request one more. If it still doesn't arrive, email us with their address and we'll trace it.
+I can't sign in as a manager
Manager sign-in is a link we email — there's no password to have forgotten. Request one at platespec.com/login and use the most recent email. If your address changed, email us from the new one and we'll move your account.
+How do I update the card, get an invoice, or cancel?
Sign in, open Command, and use Manage payment & invoices on the dashboard — it goes straight to our payment provider, where you can change the card, download every invoice, or cancel. Only the owner sees that button. If you can't get in, email us.
+When am I charged?
New accounts are free for 14 days. After that your card is charged monthly on the same date you signed up, and we email before the first charge. You can see your exact renewal date, and every past invoice, from Manage payment & invoices inside the app.
+Can I get my data out?
Yes, all of it, any time, at no charge: rosters, courses, completion records — every report exports to CSV from inside the app. If you leave, you take a full copy and we delete ours on request.
